About Malena
I have worked at Mathnasium locations, in schools for group tutoring in Algebra, as a private tutor (first grade math to calculus, SAT prep, chemistry, biology, and physics) for several years, and also as a rock climbing camp counselor and coach.
I have a bachelor's from Georgia Tech in Chemical Engineering and a master's from George Washington University in Chemistry.

I have over a decade of experience tutoring all levels of math and science, in one-on-one, group, and classroom environments. Having also run rock climbing summer camps, I know how to build a friendly rapport with students and help them manage their anxiety.
My “day job” is as an engineer; I have hands-on experience applying STEM concepts. This allows me to add extra color and context to make challenging concepts more accessible.
