About Amber
I achieved straight A*s and As at A-levels and GCSEs and have first-hand experience of the challenges students face when aiming for top grades. As leader of my school’s tutoring club, I developed skills in guiding others through difficult topics and building their confidence in a supportive way. Being a student myself allows me to connect with learners on a level that makes it easier for them to express where they’re struggling, and I use that insight to tailor explanations to their needs. Alongside clear teaching, I also share subject-specific resources and exam strategies that I used to secure top marks, helping students not only understand the content but also perform at their best in assessments.

From there, I use questions, past paper practice, and active recall to reinforce understanding and build exam confidence. I make sure to adapt my pace and style depending on the student’s needs, whether that means slowing down to revisit the basics or pushing further with exam-style questions. I also highlight key mark scheme language and share proven strategies that helped me achieve top grades, so students not only learn the content but also understand how to secure marks effectively.
