About Nora
Paper hits the desk as we begin by reviewing the structural patterns of carbonyl chemistry. Chemistry was the subject that initially intimidated me during my own pre-med path. I realized early on that success in organic chemistry requires a shift in how you process abstract visual models rather than just rote memorization. Over 3 years, I have helped college chemistry majors, IB students, and university students retaking orgo understand the nuance of molecular structures. My approach focuses on the logic behind functional groups and resonance and acidity.
I prioritize the specific hurdles that define a competitive MD or DO applicant. I have worked with many students to ensure they grasp retrosynthesis and carboxylic acids before they hit the exam room. Supporting students as they connect these complex chemical concepts is truly the most rewarding part of my work.
