About Callie
My journey with the violin began through a fascination with the instrument’s expressive range and versatility. I completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Performance before earning a Master’s Degree in Violin Pedagogy. During the past 11 years, I have helped students strengthen both their technical abilities and musical confidence.
I enjoy teaching because every student brings a unique perspective and musical personality to lessons. My teaching approach focuses on patience, adaptability, and helping learners understand the purpose behind every technique they practise. Building confidence is just as important as building skill.
Outside teaching, I enjoy chamber music, orchestral performance, and studying violin interpretation across different musical periods. These experiences enrich my lessons and provide students with broader musical perspectives. Helping learners grow as musicians remains one of the most fulfilling parts of my work.

My violin lessons are designed to help students develop a balanced combination of technical skill and musical expression. Topics such as bow distribution, finger placement, intonation control, shifting, vibrato, rhythm accuracy, and dynamic contrast are taught through carefully structured exercises and musical studies. I focus on helping learners understand how technique supports confident and expressive playing.
Each lesson is adapted to the learner’s musical background and goals. Students work through technical drills, repertoire development, sight-reading exercises, and performance preparation activities that encourage steady improvement. As confidence grows, learners become more comfortable approaching challenging pieces and musical situations.
I create a calm and encouraging learning environment where students can progress at their own pace. Musical development becomes more enjoyable when learners experience consistent improvement and clear direction. My goal is to help students build confidence, discipline, and a lifelong appreciation for violin playing.
