About Joshua
A first year Aerospace Engineering student at the University of Bath who achieved 3 A*s in Maths, Further Maths and Physics A-Level with an A in AS-Level Chemistry. I tutored a year 10 student in my local school and through my life guarding, gained lots of experience engaging with teenagers with an open and fair attitude whilst also working alongside 16-18 year olds in a close nit team.

Each student is unique, therefore, I base my tutoring around the strengths and weaknesses of the student in question.
My tutoring will be based around supplementing the work of the teachers and solidifying their understanding of topics and helping build their confidence and knowledge of the subjects with lots of past papers and 1-1 questioning. A proven technique!
I will also be trying to prepare them for A level independent study with different revision methods as well as helping them to grow a mindset of trying something first, then asking for help once they have a solid idea of what they are struggling with. This is a crucial mindset change between GCSE and A-level.
Online Tutoring:
With my online students I use a website called AWW app, it's an online whiteboard that lets me and the student work on the same work in real time to easily convey any questions and methods that should be used. Just like being in person!
Home Tutoring:
Unfortunately as I am at University in Bath, I cannot do home visits anymore.
