About Jess
After studying maths, chemistry and physics at collage I spent the next 10 years of my life as a professional athlete for Great Britain.
Whilst training I studied engineering with The Open University and now I am loving working as a Structural Engineer.
I really enjoy passing on my knowledge that I have gained over the years, hence coaching rowing at the weekends. I don’t see much sense in dedicating so much time and energy to mastering a skill if you’re not going to pass it on! We all learn off each other and we all start somewhere with some awesome people helping us.

Always have the students goals in focus and will try every way around that we can to ensure full understanding before moving on. Doesn’t matter how long it takes, we will get there.
Patience is key and understanding how each individual works is what I am good at.
I take a very practical approach to maths and help applying it to everyday life. Things seem abstract and far removed in a classroom but relating maths to our everyday helps us remember the methods and makes it much more enjoyable.
