• When and why did you develop an interest in your chosen field?

  The power of being able to build something from nothing with a cryptic language really appealed to me. It really looked like magic.
  
  It was about a decade ago being depressed in my unrelated full-time job when a coworker luckily was able to interest me in how our company website worked. Then I found out about the earning potential and the vast possibilities of remote and impactful jobs in the industry. I knew I had to make the switch and I was hooked.
  
  It's been the most empowering decision I've made to date. The habits and auxiliary skills you will learn can be awe-inspiring.

• What makes you passionate about your subject?

  Coding is about problem-solving and can be difficult but also incredibly rewarding. It taught me how to learn and break down issues into manageable components.
  
  Learning to code has been the catalyst in my confidence to be able to pursue anything I want in life. You learn the joy of solving complex problems and you feel like a superhuman.
  
  Before I even knew about coding I found podcasts and books about the digital nomad lifestyle which sparked an intense search for how I could do the same. You will always be in demand and have amazing options if you work smart about levelling up your skills in tech. Lifestyle design is a big part of what makes being a developer so interesting to me because you can create the life you want.

• What do you like about tutoring? What makes you a "Superprof"?

  Teaching is a two-way street. There is a certain joy you receive when witnessing the success of others. But also it shows me my weaknesses and what I have to work on so I'm always getting better.
  
  I love seeing the pride and satisfaction in my students when they break through obstacles they never thought possible
  
  Having learned my trade by myself I understand the struggle of breaking into a new career with no experience or help. I learned how to code and landed a full-time job with a large company in 6 months by breaking down the steps which helped me execute confidently with my limited focus. It took a lot of trial and error but I now know we can shorten that time with my program and a little focused practice.

• Do you have any role models; a teacher that inspired you? Please explain.

  Humility is the greatest teacher.
  
  When you realize that learning never stops for even the most successful people you can stop worrying about how much you don't know. Accept that there is always more to learn and you can be excited about the process and focus on your own lane.

• What are your keys to success?

  Routines/scheduling are important. Plan, execute then review. Trust the process.
  Be patient and kind to yourself always. Comparing yourself will only slow you down.
  Memorization without understanding is dangerous. Learn the main concepts first.
  Try sharing your knowledge early because it can show your own weaknesses.
  Enjoy the adventure and follow your curiosity. Allow it to run wild and guide you.
  Keeping healthy allows you to maximize your potential. Exercise and eat well.
