About Matthew
Hi! I’m a Physics graduate from the University of Warwick with a real passion for making tricky topics feel simple and even enjoyable. I know from experience that science and maths can be overwhelming — but with the right explanations and a bit of patience, anyone can improve. I went from a Level 3 to a Level 8 in Maths when I did my GCSEs! I’ve helped friends and classmates understand physics throughout university, and I now offer tutoring to students who want to build confidence, raise their grades, or just stop feeling lost in lessons. I’m approachable, calm, and good at breaking things down visually — especially using tools like my iPad to explain ideas step-by-step or walk through exam-style problems. Whether you're aiming for top marks or just trying to pass, I’ll meet you where you’re at and help you move forward. Outside of tutoring, I’m also a creative — I illustrate and make music, which helps me bring a more expressive and visual approach to teaching too.

I’m a Physics graduate from the University of Warwick offering engaging and flexible science/physics tutoring for GCSE and A-Level students. Whether you're aiming for a top grade or just trying to make sense of the subject, I break things down in a way that actually clicks. My approach is simple: I tailor lessons to how you learn best — whether that’s visual, step-by-step, or practice-heavy. We focus on building confidence and understanding, not just memorising facts. I use my iPad to share diagrams and annotate live practice questions, so we can work through problems together in real time — just like a digital whiteboard. Lessons are typically 60 minutes, but I’m flexible depending on your needs and attention span. Who I teach: GCSE & A-Level students (any exam board) Ages ~13–18 Students who feel behind or want to push for top grades You don’t need to be “good at science” to improve — you just need someone who explains it in a way that makes sense. That’s what I’m here for.
