About Elaine
I’m a PhD-trained chemist who genuinely enjoys helping students feel more confident and less intimidated by chemistry. My path has taken me through both academic research and industry, but one of the most meaningful parts of that journey has been working with students and seeing things “click” for them.
I know firsthand how overwhelming chemistry can feel at times, especially when concepts start to build on each other quickly. That’s why I focus on creating a relaxed, supportive environment where you can ask questions freely and learn at your own pace without feeling rushed or judged.
Outside of tutoring, I’ve worked in applied science and engineering settings, including areas like materials science, which helps me bring a practical and down-to-earth perspective into sessions. My goal is to help you not only improve your understanding, but also feel more comfortable and capable tackling the material on your own.

Lessons are tailored for high school, college, and pre-health students, including targeted preparation for exams like the MCAT, DAT, PCAT, and AP Chemistry.
