My Name is Noah Olthoff. Im a Junior who recently got a 1500 on my SAT and have a 4.0 GPA. I am active in various clubs and president of our schools National Honor Society. I am 17 years old and from NYC.

About the lesson

We begin with an opening, work session, and then a review at the end.
The opening consists of reviewing past work and finding out what the tutoree specifically needs help with.
The work session consists of deep guided work where problems are given, and I ensure the student knows what mistakes were made and how to fix them. Specific struggles are identified and resolved. "Why do you think you got this wrong?" questions will be asked to enhance critical thinking so mistakes are prevented on tests and homework.
The review at the end consists of a summary of how to solve all the problems the student struggled with, along with an additional problem given at the end for the student to complete prior to the next session. The student will also provide a summary of work done to ensure math strategies stick.
