About Arpine

Hello! My name is Arpine, and I’m a passionate and dedicated math tutor with both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Informatics and Applied Mathematics from Yerevan State University. I may not have formal classroom teaching experience, but I’ve developed a strong ability to explain math concepts clearly through years of helping my younger siblings succeed in their studies. My academic background, combined with a patient and supportive teaching style, allows me to guide students with confidence, whether they’re struggling with the basics of algebra or preparing for exams. I believe that every student can understand math with the right approach — and I’m here to make that happen.

About the lesson

My Teaching Approach
As a tutor I aim to make math clear, approachable, and even enjoyable for every student I work with.

My method is built on patience, clarity, and personalization. I take the time to understand how each student thinks, where they get stuck, and how they best absorb information. I avoid overwhelming my students with abstract theory at first — instead, I focus on breaking concepts into small, manageable pieces, supported by real-life examples and visual aids whenever possible.

What a Typical Lesson Looks Like
Each lesson usually follows this structure:

Quick review of previous material to refresh and reinforce learning.

Targeted explanation of a specific topic or homework problem.

Practice time with guided support and error correction.

Short recap and tips on how to continue practicing independently.

I also adapt the pace and structure depending on the student’s needs — whether they are preparing for an exam, catching up on classwork, or trying to build long-term understanding.

What Sets Me Apart
I’ve learned that the most powerful teaching often comes from empathy and shared experience. Although I don’t have formal classroom experience, I’ve spent many hours helping my younger siblings with math — and I’ve learned how to explain complex ideas in a way that actually makes sense to someone hearing them for the first time.

Because I’ve recently gone through university math myself, I know where the tricky parts are — and how to explain them in a calm, friendly, and encouraging way.
