About Kaitlyn

I'm a passionate, friendly and experienced GCSE Maths tutor dedicated to helping students succeed. I have always loved mathematics and have found a talent for being able to help those who struggle with simple and complex topics. I began tutoring because I believe everyone can excel in maths with the right guidance and support. Seeing students' confidence grow and their grades improve is incredibly rewarding. My goal is to make maths enjoyable and accessible for all, helping students develop problem-solving skills that go beyond the classroom.

About the lesson

I tailor each lesson to the student's needs. I focus on building confidence and deep understanding rather than just memorisation. My teaching style is patient and adaptable, ensuring students grasp concepts at their own pace while making lessons engaging and interactive. I use: Clear explanations Step-by-step problem solving Practice questions Exam technique practice Past paper practice Most sessions last 60 minutes but I offer shorter or longer (up to 2.5 hours) depending on your preference. The first session will focus on identifying problem/weaker areas, then after the first session, I can develop a lesson plan to ensure areas that students can perform their best in exams. My Qualifications GCSE: Maths-8 English language-6 English Literature-7 Chemistry-7 Biology-7 Physics-7 Spanish-5 IT-A* A-level: Mathematics-B Chemistry- C Biology-C I have helped numerous students, over 6 years of tutoring, improve their grades, gain confidence and achieve up to 3 grades higher than their predicted grades. No matter what your aim is, I can get you there!

Kaitlyn tutored my son in maths for his GCSE in 2022 and he improved his predicted grade of 5 and he ended up getting a 7. Kaitlyn was very patient with him and supported him to work through concepts that he found difficult.
She is now working with my daughter to help push her up grade up in maths and she is enjoying her sessions with Kaitlyn.
