About Maia
Hey, I'm Maia! I'm in the final year of my Computer Science degree and am working towards being a game developer. I have several years' worth of tutoring experience, including working for two different tutoring companies, as well as tutoring my peers in middle and high school.

As technology gets more and more advanced, many people are finding it hard to keep up. As a computer science student, it has become apparent to me just how little tech knowledge the general public has. I want to help anyone who feels lost in the overwhelming amount of information there is out there about technology. We can cover topics such as:
- tech myths and facts
- what is the internet?
- how do I use all of the different functions on my phone?
- how do I spot a scam and how can I protect myself?
- how do I practice safe password management?
- web browser vs. search engine
- how can I increase my privacy on the internet?
- basic overview of a computer and its parts
- terms you should know
My teaching style is very relaxed. If you have a specific topic you'd like to cover, you can let me know in advance, and I'll prepare something for us to work on. Otherwise, we can follow the general lesson plan I've laid out. Lessons will be over zoom. If you have a different platform that you prefer to use, let me know and I'll consider using that instead. We can decide together what the best lesson length for you will be.
