About Fia
I started teaching myself guitar as a teenager, slowly figuring things out one string at a time. What began as a bedroom hobby quickly turned into a lifelong passion. With a Bachelor of Music in Popular Music (Guitar) and over three years of teaching experience, I now help others skip the confusion I once felt. My teaching style is practical, encouraging, and filled with real-life shortcuts I wish I'd had earlier. I love decoding tricky concepts with patience, humor, and relatable examples. One of my most-loved methods is the "riff breakdown," where we take famous riffs and pull them apart to reveal technique, timing, and tone. I also guide students through real-time songwriting challenges, where creativity meets hands-on learning. Whether you're just starting out or trying to write your first song, I’ll help you build skills while keeping the spark alive. My lessons are relaxed, goal-oriented, and tailored to your pace and personality. Let’s turn your daily practice into a daily joy—and make the guitar feel like home.

My guitar teaching approach is built on solid foundations with plenty of room for creativity. I focus on helping students develop smooth chord transitions, strong pick control, and a variety of strumming patterns. Lessons are structured but always keep the fun alive, blending technique with musical expression.
I guide learners through practical fretboard knowledge so they feel confident navigating the neck of the guitar. We’ll use real songs, custom exercises, and call-and-response routines to strengthen memory and ear-hand coordination. I tailor each lesson to the student’s pace and preferred genre, whether that’s classic rock riffs or blues improvisation.
I’m especially supportive of students chasing their performance dreams or emotional connection to music. We’ll balance repetition with variety, always reinforcing your skills in new and exciting ways. If you want to write, jam, or just understand how music works under your fingers, I’ve got your back. Together, we’ll build both your technique and personal style.
