About Medha
I’ve always loved learning, but what excites me even more is sharing that learning with others. Teaching chemistry allows me to take complex ideas and turn them into something clear, simple, and accessible — especially for students who feel overwhelmed or unsure where to begin. I enjoy breaking topics down into easy, visual explanations and helping students discover the “aha!” moments that make science meaningful. Outside academics, I’ve always gravitated towards teaching in informal settings — whether helping classmates with revision, explaining tricky topics to younger students, or guiding peers through difficult concepts. It feels natural to me to support others in building confidence and understanding. Beyond science, I love running and art. Running helps me clear my mind and stay focused, while art keeps me creative and patient — qualities that shape how I teach. Both hobbies remind me that progress comes through consistency, small steps, and enjoying the process, which is exactly the mindset I encourage in my students. My goal is to create a space where students feel supported, capable, and motivated to do their best — not just for exams, but for themselves.

As a 1st year medical student who has completed IB, I teach Chemistry using simple explanations, structured problem-solving, and real exam-style practice. Because I’ve recently completed the IB and GCSE curriculum myself, I understand where students struggle and how to break down complex topics into clear, manageable steps.
My lessons will typically run for an hour, and each session includes:
- A quick recap to check understanding
- Step-by-step explanations of new content
- Worked examples from past papers
- Targeted practice questions
- Short take-home strategies to build confidence
I tutor GCSE and IB Chemistry students, especially those who need help understanding core concepts, improving exam technique, or developing stronger study habits. My approach is patient, relatable, and focused on helping students think, not memorise.
