About Sofia
Hi I'm Sofia :)
I'm an artist, graphic designer, and student currently studying Graphic Communication Design at Central Saint Martins. With experience in freelance design, magazine publishing, and a Distinction in the UAL Foundation Diploma, I help students develop creative thinking, technical skills, and confidence. I offer personalised online lessons for beginners, GCSE and A Level students, and those preparing art and design portfolios.

I'm passionate about art and creating space for exploration as well as building strong technical skills. My approach is to support, encourage, and build each student's confidence, helping them develop the skills to express their own creative ideas, no matter where they are on their creative journey. I create an engaging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, experimenting with different approaches, and working through creative challenges or blocks with guidance.
I specialise in creative communication but teach online lessons to students at a range of levels, from beginners to those preparing for GCSE Art, A Level Art, and portfolio applications. Having been through these stages myself and now studying Graphic Communication Design at Central Saint Martins, I understand both the creative and practical challenges students face. I tailor every lesson to each student's interests, goals, and pace, helping them build confidence alongside their technical and creative skills.
I have four years of experience studying graphic design through both formal education and freelance work, from commission-based projects to an internship with a Tokyo-based magazine. My qualifications include a Distinction in the UAL Foundation Diploma in Art & Design, an A* in A Level Art & Design, and an A in A Level Art History.
In my own practice, I'm focused on visual storytelling through illustration, graphic design, moving image, and video. Whatever direction a student wants to explore, my goal is to help them develop their creative thinking, strengthen their technical skills, and build the confidence to set their own creative briefs and pursue their artistic journey.
