About Alex
Maths is my personal favorite subject, and I have developed my passion for it over my years in school and four units of maths in the HSC. I hope I can instill the same love for maths in my students, not just as a school subject, but as a tool to develop highly useful thinking skills useful later in life.

Mathematics as a subject I believe is widely taught wrong in many schools. The methods and formulas handed out by teachers create cookie-cutter learners who struggle with exam questions that have slightly different processes. My lessons focus on developing a real understanding of mathematic concepts that can be applied across different topics. I have implemented this method with previous students who have quickly shown a much more methodical approach when looking at a question, rather than looking to memorized formulas and techniques.
