About Leah

I’m currently taking a year out before attending University to study English Literature. I want to tutor students as I am well aware of the stress exams can cause as well as school in general, especially when you struggle with a subject. Therefore, I am aware that receiving help around subjects you aren’t too comfortable with can supply support for you, whilst also helping you to enjoy the subject and feel more confident about yourself and your ability.

I received all A’s and above at GCSES, yet really struggled with maths and found myself a tutor. This improved my confidence and eventually helped me received the grade I did in maths. I’m looking to help those who struggle with humanities i.e English and History to make sure they can feel more secure as well.

About the lesson

I’m very flexible with how the student wants to learn, whether that’s creating mind maps, flashcards or simply going over the syllabus. I have a relaxed approach to what suits you best, yet will intend to push you so you are confident with the content and your ability in the subject. The lessons can range from 30 minutes to over an hour depending on what my student wants. I have tutored younger years during secondary school and equipped to deal with a range of ability. I received A*s in both Literature and History for my A levels as well as an A* in politics.

What I love about Leah is that she creates such a positive and supportive learning environment that really helps her students thrive. She's always patient and approachable and has a real knack for explaining things in a way that's super easy to understand.

Leah knows her stuff when it comes to the 11+ and GCSE English curriculums and she's got loads of experience helping students prepare for exams. She's brilliant at figuring out what her students need and customizing her approach to suit them best.

What really stands out about Leah is how motivating and encouraging she is with her students. She gives great feedback and always encourages her students to ask questions and think critically. It's really amazing to see how much confidence her students build under her guidance.

Overall, I can't recommend Leah enough. She's such a talented and passionate educator and any student would be really lucky to work with her.
