About Lauren

Hi! My name is Lauren Ohana and I am a student at San Diego State University in the Fowler College of Business. Originally from New Jersey, I have two sisters - one older and one younger - and I am very close to my family. In addition to my strong passion for academics, I have participated in many sports growing up such as volleyball, lacrosse, cheerleading, dance, and soccer. I am a very organized person who loves fashion, sushi, traveling, the beach, being creative, social media, and spending time with my friends. I love kids and helping others. Growing up, I have always tutored my younger cousins and sister. I love helping my friends and others with homework and being patient with those I'm assisting.

About the lesson

I want to listen to the students to understand their level of comprehension and identify areas where they may be struggling. I will then adapt to their preferred learning methods and help them understand the material in the best and most comfortable way for them. Before our session, I will review their notes or homework for that week to ensure that I can focus on those topics. I provide lessons for elementary, middle, and/or high school students specifically for math, specifically algebra.
