About Sai Priya
Over the past two years, I've taught math to Grades 5-8 across multiple organizations, including ConceptKendra, Younglabs Innovations, and Maths Space, and developed math content for an ed-tech platform. I also attended the ICTS-TIFR Summer School for Women in Mathematics and Statistics, reflecting my genuine passion for the subject beyond just teaching it. I believe math becomes easy once a student understands the "why" behind a concept, not just the steps to solve it. My approach focuses on building strong fundamentals through simple, real-life examples before moving to practice problems, so students never feel like they're just memorizing formulas.
A typical class starts with a quick recap of the previous topic, followed by a clear explanation of the new concept using visuals or relatable examples. We then work through problems together, starting easy and gradually increasing difficulty, so students build confidence step by step. I always leave room for questions and encourage students to explain their thinking out loud, which helps me spot and fix gaps in understanding early.
What makes my teaching different is patience and personalization. I don't rush through topics — I go at the pace each student needs, and I adjust my explanations based on how they learn best, whether that's through diagrams, stories, or hands-on practice. I have experience teaching across multiple platforms and creating structured content for digital learning, which helps me explain concepts in more than one way until it clicks.
My classes are designed for school students from Grade 1 to Grade 8, especially those who find math intimidating or have fallen behind and need to rebuild their confidence from the basics up.
