About Erin
I am a student at Vanderbilt University with experience in Molecular and Cellular Biology with a minor in Spanish for the Professions on the pre-medical track. My academic work focuses on immunology and chronic disease, and I currently conduct research examining how diabetes alters immune responses to infection. Alongside my studies, I have extensive experience tutoring and mentoring students in STEM subjects, particularly biology, chemistry, and foundational science courses. I believe effective tutoring focuses on building conceptual understanding rather than memorization, helping students develop confidence and problem-solving skills. My goal is to create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and mastering challenging material.
