About Alexandra
I am a Sixth Form student studying Mathematics A-Level, predicted an A Achieved a grade 8 at GCSE level (exam taken in 2019) I am open to tutoring children in years 2 to 10 in preparation for SATs, GCSEs or just to improve in general and have previous experience especially with GCSE Foundation Maths students who I have helped to pass onto the GCSE Higher Maths paper to access higher grades

I ask that all students tell me what areas they are struggling with (i.e. algebra, trigonometry) so I can prepare sessions beforehand and for all students doing GCSEs, I ask that you tell me your exam board so I can refer to the specification (Edexcel, AQA...) Previously, I have found that utilising past papers has been successful as students familiarise themselves with exam question vocabulary and structure, but I will also incorporate any other questions I think may be beneficial to work through with them based on the topics that require improvements. For younger students, working through maths problems thoroughly and explaining everything visually tends to be more effective - each child has a different learning style so I will try to accommodate to each one as best as I can!
