I used to reach the basics of the topic first.Often it happens that students may solve questions and remember facts but still they don't have a clear understanding of what really the concept is. This misleads them while solving tricky and new questions. So I focuses more on clarifying the topic rather than just finishing and making it memorize to students. I love to have doubts from students side. A doubt may sound silly sometimes, but still it is a doubt. So just ask without hesitation.
