About Laura
I have been tutoring since October 2013. I have taught many students, from elementary to high school. All of my students without exception have improved with my help. The greatest progress I have noticed was in English, when a girl's average went from 6/20 to 14/20.

I help students complete their homework and give specialised lessons in mostly French, English, history and methodology.
My methods involve loads of dialogue. If my student has a problem with a certain subject, we will get to the bottom of that issue and work together towards making the subject interesting and easily comprehensible.
I have great tutoring experience, thus will give my students different points of views and anecdotes that may have not been mentioned in class, as well as different learning and time management techniques.
Learning should be an enlightening, empowering process. Grades are important, of course, but I mostly value understanding what we are learning and why we are learning it, instead of simply memorising the whole lesson for a test.
I strive to take the stress out of the equation and help my students work with their strengths and their weaknesses alike. I am an organised teacher and a good listener who will tailor my classes to the needs and goals of my students.
