About Sophie
I am studying Linguistics and Italian at the University of Oxford, having finished my A Levels (Maths, Further Maths and Spanish) a few years ago. I am looking to maintain my knowledge, putting it into use by teaching. I really enjoy working out ways to explain concepts, regardless as to whether this is to a beginner or somebody more advanced, and think that teaching is something which is incredibly rewarding to do, for students and teachers alike.

My lessons are for anybody wanting to improve in maths at any level, up to A level. I will plan my lessons in order to accomodate the pupil and their specific needs in the subject - and because I have recently finished studying myself, I remember these processes of learning very vividly and so will be able to understand the pupil's point of view and work out how best to explain things in a way that they understand.
I have had a cello pupil for a couple of years so am experienced at teaching, and although maths is different to music - the skills of teaching these two subjects are interchangeable.
A typical lesson would be around an hour, but I am flexible - this could be shorter or longer depending on the age of the pupil and what they are working towards.
