About Willow
I have worked as an English tutor for many years, starting when I was just in high school. I enjoyed it so much that I decided to pursue TESOL and Applied Linguistics in college and have created graduate and post-graduate plan to receive my M.A and Ph.D.
I have worked in South Korea as an English teacher in a bilingual setting and plan on pursuing my dream of teaching around the world to the students who want to engage in the learning.
Although Learning English and Korean is indeed difficult, it can be done by anyone of any age and at any pace that works best for you. With the right tutor and right materials, learning any aspect of English is possible.

As a student who has experience teaching English in Korea in a bilingual classroom, I have a variety of methods and tactics that I use in my lessons. I specialize in TESOL and Applied Linguistics, during which time I have learned how to use linguistic theory to teach languages effectively.
I also received a level 3 score on the TOPIK, have lived in Korea, and can speak Korean at an intermediate-advanced level, so I am also comfortable with teaching beginners and intermediate Korean.
I am comfortable with teaching grades 7-12 and college students.
My lessons often include all 4 main aspects of language learning, which includes speaking, listening, reading, and writing. This method allows students to advance their learning more quickly as recent literature supports using all aspects in each lesson.
