About Emma
Hi! My name is Emma and I am in my first year of studying Economics at the University of Bath. For A Levels I took Maths, Further Maths, Economics and English Literature (A* A* A B in order). Maths has always been a passion of mine, and I love being able to properly explain the concepts and procedures behind a question to allow a student to properly understand each question they are given.

My tutoring style required differs depending on the student, so I like to discuss with the student to find an approach that works best for them. When revising for exams, and especially maths exams, first you need the initial understanding and then the consolidation and practice in context of the exam questions, and I would help students through both of these stages so they are ready for any questions that could be asked in their exams. I received A* A* A B at A Levels (with the A*’s in Maths and Further Maths), and have helped younger students in my school through running maths help clinics. My lessons are for any students working towards Maths and Further Maths GCSE (AQA) and Maths A Level (Edexcel).

Emma is an excellent tutor who has really helped to improve my maths skills. In preparation for my GCSEs she assisted greatly by explaining problem questions in a way that was simple and comprehensive. She is incredibly patient and understanding, which was really helpful when it came to tackling difficult questions.
