Diagnostic Assessment: Before starting lessons, I assess the student’s current understanding, strengths, and areas for improvement. This helps tailor the lessons to address specific needs.
Conceptual Understanding: I emphasize understanding the 'why' behind mathematical concepts, not just the 'how'. This involves explaining the underlying principles and theories.
Interactive Learning: Lessons are interactive, encouraging students to ask questions and engage in problem-solving. I use real-life examples to make abstract concepts more relatable.
Scaffolded Instruction: I provide structured support, gradually increasing the complexity of problems as the student becomes more confident. This includes guided practice followed by independent practice.
Visual Aids and Technology: I utilize visual aids like diagrams and educational software to enhance understanding. Technology tools, such as graphing calculators and online resources, are integrated into lessons.
Frequent Feedback: Continuous feedback is provided to help students understand their mistakes and learn from them. This includes verbal feedback during lessons and written feedback on assignments.
Motivation and Confidence Building: Encouragement and positive reinforcement are key. I aim to build the student’s confidence by celebrating successes and showing that making mistakes is a part of the learning process.
Review and Reinforcement: Regular review sessions are conducted to reinforce previously learned material and ensure retention.

Relating the concept to real-life situations or prior knowledge
Guided Practice (20-25 minutes):
Working through problems together
Encouraging the student to explain their thought process
Independent Practice (15-20 minutes):
Allowing the student to solve problems independently
Providing support as needed
Review and Recap (5-10 minutes):
Summarizing key points of the lesson
Answering any remaining questions
Assigning homework or additional practice problems
Feedback and Assessment (5 minutes):
Quick formative assessment to gauge understanding
Immediate feedback on performance
