Grades 2-8: I work with elementary and middle school students to improve their reading and writing skills.
Students Who Need Help: Whether they’re struggling or just need a little extra practice, I help them succeed.
Reading and Writing Teaching Methods
• I help students understand what they read by asking questions, discussing stories, and breaking down tough parts
• We work on vocabulary and reading fluency to make reading easier and more enjoyable.
• We start by brainstorming ideas and organizing them before writing.
• I guide students through writing, revising, and editing their work to improve clarity and creativity.
• I use games, stories, and activities to make reading and writing exciting.
• I encourage students to ask questions and express their thoughts freely.
Lesson Plan
Warm-Up (5 minutes):
Quick reading or writing exercise to get started.
Main Focus (15 minutes):
Reading: Read a short passage, talk about it, and answer questions.
Writing: Write a paragraph or short story, focusing on structure and ideas.
Practice (10 minutes):
Reading: Read independently and answer a few questions.
Writing: Work on a short writing task with my help.
Review and Activity (5-10 minutes):
Go over what we learned and talk about how to improve.
