Hi, I’m DJ, a 10th grader with a passion for learning and helping others succeed. I enjoy diving deep into subjects that interest me, and I love sharing what I’ve learned with my peers. Whether it’s academics, extracurricular activities, or hobbies, I believe in making learning an enjoyable and enriching experience. As a high school student, I understand what it's like to learn Chinese in a classroom setting. I make lessons fun and relatable by using methods that helped me, such as interactive flashcards, short videos, and casual conversation practice. My approach is all about making learning Chinese feel less like a chore and more like an enjoyable experience.

Typical Lesson Plan

A typical lesson with me starts with a quick review of what we’ve previously covered to keep things fresh. Then, I introduce new vocabulary or grammar points in a way that connects to real-life scenarios—like ordering food or talking about hobbies. We'll practice these new concepts through games, quizzes, or simple conversations. I wrap up each lesson with a quick recap and a suggestion for a short practice activity.

What Sets Me Apart as a Tutor

What sets me apart is that I’m a peer, not just a tutor. I know what it's like to juggle schoolwork and learning a new language, so I keep the pressure low and the encouragement high. My lessons are designed to be engaging and relevant to what students my age find interesting.
