About James
Hello! My name is James and if you are reading this you are presumably looking for someone to tutor you in mathematics. While this would be my first foray into a paid, professional tutoring job, I have plenty of experience with helping fellow classmates as well as spots of volunteering as a tutor for the less fortunate when I was in High School. While I am currently a student, I am working on getting a degree as a mathematics teacher, ideally at the secondary (meaning grades 6-12) level. As such, I have decided to kill two birds with one stone by being a tutor to both give me further experience teaching as well as establish myself as an educator.

My lessons can be about any math topic from basic math up to trigonometry depending on what you are learning. In order to do my best to instruct you, I will do a mix of things both to determine what helps you learn best as well as further enforce what you are learning. What makes me unique is the fact that, if the way I and/or your teacher is instructing you doesn’t click, I am fully willing to further break things down or even go an entirely different route in the explanation so that we can reach a point where you understand the topic.
