About Thomas

Growing up in Wales, a bilingual country, languages have always been a core part of my life. I have been learning and speaking Spanish for over a decade and am now studying for my bachelor's degree at the University of Cambridge. I am very passionate about Latin American culture and literature and have spent some time in Argentina consolidating these interests. The Argentinian dialect is unique in Spanish, and I would love to share this wonderfully rich variety with you! As a student myself, I know all the pitfalls and insecurities that come with learning a language and will always strive to provide a supportive and stimulating environment for my students!

About the lesson

Offering tailored lessons in Spanish language dedicated to exam preparation or improving conversational fluency. As a university student of the language, my interests range from linguistics to literature - I'm sure that I'll be able to suggest the right material for you! In particular, I have experience preparing UK students for end of high school exams (GCSE/A Level). I have also delivered tuition to English-speaking expats in Buenos Aires. This was an exciting and demanding experience since I was tasked with explaining the tools necessary to become confident and competent in a language as quickly as possible.

Thomas is a highly diligent and enthusiastic individual. His command of Spanish is really exceptional, as his ability to explain difficult concepts clearly. I couldn't recommend him more as a tutor.

He tutored me over the summer and was a great teacher. I learned a lot of new vocabulary and grammar with him. He put a real emphasis on grammar (as I requested) and why things were said the way they were - meaning that I understood the language much better and felt more confident using it. After a certain point he offered conversational lessons which greatly improved my Spanish. He's very flexible and can teach however you want the language taught. Thank you very much Thomas!
