About Keerat Singh
Hey! I’m a junior at the University of Maryland, and I’d love to help you tackle math problems to get you the grades you want. I know these subjects can seem tough—I’ve been there myself—but with my experience working at Mathnasium and tutoring through academic clubs, I’ve learned ways to make tricky concepts click.
When we work together, I’ll break down the material into easy steps, adapt to your learning style, and make sure each session feels supportive and motivating. I focus on making complex topics in math accessible and engaging. My teaching style is interactive, using real-world examples, visuals, and practice problems to break down challenging concepts. I tailor explanations to each student’s unique learning style, whether they’re more visual, analytical, or hands-on. I also emphasize understanding over memorization to build a solid foundation.
Each session starts with a quick review of previous topics to ensure retention. Next, we tackle new concepts, breaking them down step-by-step. I encourage students to solve problems independently with guidance, which boosts confidence and problem-solving skills. Toward the end, we review key takeaways and plan next steps, often with a few targeted practice problems for reinforcement.
My experience at Mathnasium taught me how to work with diverse learning styles and quickly identify each student’s needs. My approach is patient and adaptable, creating a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions. I focus on building confidence as much as skills.
I offer tutoring for students in grades K-12 who need support in math, from foundational skills to advanced topics.
