About Danica

Hi! My name is Danica, and I am an Elementary Education student at the University of Cincinnati. I have experience working with children of different ages through tutoring, daycare, babysitting, and elementary school classroom placements. I also have my Child Development Associate (CDA) credential.

I am patient, friendly, and passionate about helping children learn and become more confident in themselves. I love working with kids and finding fun, simple ways to explain things that may be difficult for them. My goal is to become an elementary school teacher, so tutoring is a great way for me to continue gaining experience while helping students succeed!

About the lesson

Hi, I’m Danica! I am currently studying Elementary Education at the University of Cincinnati and have experience working with children in daycare, tutoring, and elementary school classrooms.

My teaching approach is patient, encouraging, and hands-on. I understand that every student learns differently, so I adjust how I explain concepts based on what works best for each child. I like to use examples, visuals, practice activities, and step-by-step explanations to make learning easier to understand.

A typical lesson would start with reviewing what the student already knows, followed by introducing or reviewing the skill they need help with. We would work through examples together, and then I would give the student an opportunity to practice independently while still being there to help when needed.

What sets me apart as a tutor is my experience working directly with young children and my education in teaching. I want students to feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes because those are important parts of learning.

My lessons are best suited for elementary-aged students, especially those who need extra support with reading, writing, math, homework, or general classroom skills.
