About Aarzu

Hi, I'm Aarzu! I'm currently an undergraduate student at Vanderbilt University, studying biochemistry and computer science. Since I was in elementary school, I have been making efforts to learn and understand mathematical concepts at more advanced levels through self studying and classes outside of school. I also have a lot of experience tutoring kids of all ages in math. I tutored at my local Russian School of Mathematics as well as at my high school through the National Honor Society.

Aside from my experience tutoring kids in both simple and advanced math concepts, I also have the grades and test scores to indicate my knowledge of the material. I received an 800 both on the SAT II Math Level 2 Exam and the math portion of the SAT. I also received a 5 on the AP calculus exam. I was an active member of my high school's competitive math team and was also the captain as an upperclassman.

About the lesson

I love finding ways to explain complicated concepts in simpler ways because not only is it rewarding to help others gain a deeper understanding of a subject I am so passionate about, but because it gives me an opportunity to understand the concept at a deeper level. I truly love working with students and finding the most effective way to help them understand the material at hand. I am very patient and I believe that it is important to highlight how far a student have come, rather than just how much they have left to learn.
