About Richard
I began tutoring back in 2016 when I worked for Zaniac Learning Center. Prior to that, I had already gained experience as a Teacher's assistant as part of my volunteer service in high school. Since then, I've been an administrative assistant, recess supervisor, and most recently, a math teacher this summer.

My lessons are creative, engaged, and individualistic. I take an approach which finds a balance between direct teaching and discussion. Constant quizzing and recall method are vital for learning key concepts of math, but I also emphasize the importance of learning how to use the tools you gain to solve something new. Fun challenge problems are also a great way to create curiosity and excitement for learning more!
