About Alyssa
I am a current Associate of Science in Computer Science student with a 4.3 GPA. Growing up I was placed in all AP classes from the Grade 2 until High School. I have competed in many different academic contest for math, science, language, and speech writing as well as have a published poem. I also worked as a freelance writer for a local newspaper in HIgh School and have various published articles. I have experience with children (I am a mother myself) which allows me to be able to connect with younger students as well as know ways to make learning fun! I am available to tutor students from Kindergarten to grade 12. I am skilled in many different subjects including English, Elementary Science, Biology, Computer Science, and Math from K-Grade 11. I am also available to help with GED prep, proofreading, and test supervision. On another note, I also have experience working with developmentally disabled children and adults as I have previously volunteered at a Day Center and babysat a child on the Autism Spectrum. I hope to hear from you!

I believe that each student is different and like to base my tutoring sessions off of what learning style works best for the student. I try to keep the lessons light and fun while really trying to get the student to grasp the material. Also, I value integrity and will only allow myself to take students on that I believe are a good fit. I will not try to teach subjects or grade levels that I cannot provide exception service in.
