About Janna

In recent years I have gained a lot of experience in tutoring. When I was in 6 VWO, I was given the opportunity to tutor 'disadvantaged students' in groups of 6-10 students and help with planning/organizing/motivating. In total I was able to guide more than 40 students from 1 VWO to with 4 VWO. This with a lot of fun and also successes! I have also previously given private tutoring in; Dutch, mathematics and biology. I am currently studying international biomedical sciences at Maastricht University. This means I speak 'native' English. Native English means that I speak English at the same level as people whose native language it is. This allows me to help with writing, listening, reading, but also with the pronunciation of English words.
But also with all other subjects of the package; nature and health, I can help up to and including 6 VWO level. I would describe myself as very patient and calm when giving tutoring.

About the lesson

I would describe my tutoring method as calm and patient. Because I have been able to guide more than 40 students in recent years, I quickly see which approach works best for a student. By using a personal approach, I believe the fastest results can be achieved. I have really enjoyed learning both in my time as a student now and in secondary school and I hope to be able to motivate and enthuse students for their school work, just as I am.
