About Harry

Hello, my name is Harry. I am a Psychology student with native English , and a Grade A score on the Cambridge Advanced Exam, who is interested in offering online English classes to students of all ages and levels. I have been teaching English to individuals and groups on a freelance basis since 2015, and for a period of time I also gave classes at a Tarragona based language school. I am very passionate about being able to help my students improve their language skills, and overcome the difficulties involved when learning a foreign language. I also consider that my academic training in psychology has given me a lot of information about learning processeses, something I believe can help me a lot when it comes to designing classes to optimize my students' language abilities.

About the lesson

I firmly believe that a good relationship between a teacher and his / her student(s) must necessarily be bidirectional in nature, and for this reason my teaching methodology is not rigid or dogmatic at all. Instead, it always adapts to the needs, interests, and personal characteristics of each student in order to enhance their development through a personalized, democratic, and flexible learning system.

I also think a foreign language can never be considered to exist in vacuum devoid of the socio-cultural and practical aspects associated with the given language. Therefore, I always try to make the contents I teach as diverse (And as useful!) as possible so as to give a global and realistic view of the English language.

The main price (18€/hour) I charge for my classes stems from the following three points:

-My experience teaching English.

-My "Grade A" score in the ESOL exam "Certificate in Advanced English"

-The fact English is my native, or "mother", language.

However, I also offer a possible price reduction for students interested in purchasing a larger number of classes.
