About Luce
I’m Luce, an Italian student at Cornell University pursuing a degree in Cognitive Science. Alongside my studies, I have several years of experience as a private online tutor, teaching English and supporting students in developing their language and academic skills. My background includes one-on-one tutoring through educational programs and volunteer platforms, where I’ve learned to adapt lessons to different learning styles, levels, and goals. As a native Italian studying abroad, I understand the challenges of learning and communicating in another language. This allows me to create a supportive and motivating environment for my students. Professionalism, reliability, and personalized attention are at the core of my teaching approach — I aim to help every student feel confident, capable, and inspired to learn.

Italian
As a native Italian speaker studying abroad, I, Luce, bring both cultural authenticity and an international outlook to my lessons. My teaching method is interactive and student-centered — I focus on conversation, pronunciation, and real-life vocabulary to make learning Italian natural and enjoyable. A typical lesson starts with a short dialogue or reading, followed by vocabulary exploration and grammar in context. I always adapt the pace and materials to each student’s goals — whether improving spoken fluency, mastering grammar, or preparing for exams.
