About Annie
"6 years of experience has shown me that singing is the most intimate form of storytelling. I teach because I want to share the ballad traditions and vocal nuances that have defined my life for 13 years. My expertise covers performance confidence, harmony singing, vocal range extension, genre styling, and the balance between head and chest voice.
I carry the influence of my 12 years playing festivals across the American South into every conversation about technique. Teaching is my way of keeping these old-time stories moving forward in a modern context."

"Singing requires a balance of breath control and emotional connection to the lyrics. We spend our time exploring how the voice functions across different registers while maintaining a natural tone. My self-taught background allows me to explain complex vocal shifts in ways that are easy to understand.
I encourage students to bring their own voice to the songs we work on together. It is about finding the story within the music and letting it guide your expression. I am happy to work with you on whatever vocal goals you have in mind."
