About Naqib

A little about me and my singing carrier. My name is Naqib. I am 25 years old and was born in Malaysia. I have been singing for more than 15 years now. With 5 years of classical singing as a baritone and more than 10 years of contemporary singing in the fields of R&B and pop.

2009 I joined the YCA (Young Choral Academy) in Malaysia and trained classically. I was chosen to perform in the MPO (Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra) during Christmas as a lead soloist for the Snowman, 'Walking in the Air' in 2012. I also participated in the World Choir Games in Latvia in 2014 and various international concerts in Germany and France.

Soon after the World Choir Games, I left the YCA to focus on contemporary singing with a private vocal teacher. I have been with him for 4 years and then decided to learn and practice singing discord servers, giving free lessons. After learning from various online singing teachers, I decided to look into CVT and studied online for a CVT course until proficient knowledge.

About the lesson

Understanding the CVT (Complete Vocal Technique) is crucial for all levels and ages of singers. Getting to know various muscle groups of the voice will also be covered and how they can utilise them properly.

Vocal warm-ups are included, and a song of their choice (English/Malay) will be practised. Depending on students and how long they want price changes. However, 1 hour is preferred to get the most out of the lesson.

With 3 years as a private singing tutor around Shah Alam and KL. I also teach online via Discord app with free tips and paid lessons.

He’s got a very unique voice. I can tell he’s been practicing before this. Just needs to solidify his techniques and be more relaxed

Practice keeping his voice in a straight line (humming, lip trills, sirens); practice on open vowels (ah, eh, ie, oh, uu) by dropping the jaw and keeping a nice round shape.
