About Kaya

Hello. I am Kaya. I was born and raised in Japan and have lived in the US for 36 years. I hold a PhD in Anthropology and an MA in Psychology. Education is my passion. I have 15+ years of teaching experience in US colleges and universities.
I gained invaluable experience through working as an instructor of Japanese for seven summers in a language immersion program, where I taught six hours of classes daily and tutored students one-on-one for two hours every evening. I currently teach Japanese using the GENKI I textbook at a college in Washington State.
