About Mia
I’m 18 years old and graduated high school in 2024 after completing ATAR. I’m currently in my second year at Curtin University studying Psychology, with the goal of pursuing a PhD and becoming a clinical neuropsychologist. I’ve always been interested in how the brain works and since I was 15 years old, I was motivated to make a career out of it. As someone with ADHD, I had to develop effective study techniques to stay focused and understand complex material, which helped me achieve my academic goals. This experience has given me a strong appreciation for different learning styles. I want to tutor because I enjoy supporting students who want to succeed academically, particularly those who struggle with certain concepts or feel they aren’t receiving the support they need at school. My goal is to help students build both their understanding and their confidence in subjects that can sometimes feel overwhelming.

Having completed several ATAR subjects in Years 11 and 12, I understand the expectations and pressure students face. My tutoring focuses on helping students genuinely understand and process concepts rather than simply memorising information. I aim to provide clear explanations, patience, and a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and building confidence in their skills.
