About Sophie
I am currently studying at ‘The Guildhall School of Music and Drama’ to become an opera singer. The training I am receiving there has only furthered my love and passion for singing. Teaching has become a big part of my singing journey because I love seeing people progress in their singing like I did. It is an extremely rewarding process which allows me to not only learn more and more about the voice but also gain friends along the way. My main focus when teaching is to help people progress and gain confidence in their voice!

In lessons I focus on creating a solid Foundation for the voice. A healthy voice is extremely important to gain longevity in the voice. You want a voice to last as long as it possibly can. I like to start lessons off focusing on exercises on breathing and technique. It is important to gain a solid technique to keep the voice healthy. Singing new repertoire and understanding the meaning of it is important to me. When you understand what you are singing about it makes performing it much easier. I like to approach lessons positively. Singing should be enjoyable and I I find if it is progress tends to be much quicker.
