About Liuzhen

Hi! I’m a passionate vocal and performing arts teacher with a Bachelor’s degree in Music Business from Los Angeles College of Music. I have hands-on experience teaching children in Musical Theater and vocal performance, and I truly enjoy helping young students discover their confidence and creativity through music.

My lessons combine **vocal technique, musical expression, acting, and stage performance** in a fun and engaging environment. I believe learning to sing should be more than simply hitting the right notes—it should be an opportunity for students to express themselves, build confidence, and have fun.

I tailor each lesson to the student’s age, experience, interests, and goals. Whether your child is a complete beginner, enjoys singing at home, wants to prepare for a performance, or is interested in Musical Theater and stage performance, I will create a supportive and encouraging learning experience for them.

My goal is simple: **to help every student enjoy singing, feel confident performing, and discover their own unique voice.**

About the lesson

My Approach as a Tutor

My teaching approach is centered on creativity, enjoyment, and confidence. I believe children learn best when they feel comfortable, engaged, and excited to participate. I combine vocal training with stage performance skills, helping students develop not only their voice, but also their confidence, musical expression, and ability to perform in front of others.

Teaching Methods & Techniques

I use age-appropriate vocal exercises, breathing and vocal warm-ups, pitch and rhythm exercises, song interpretation, and performance activities. I also incorporate movement, acting, and simple stage techniques into lessons when appropriate. Rather than focusing only on technical exercises, I encourage students to explore their own musical personality and express emotions through the music.

# Typical Lesson Plan

A typical lesson begins with a short warm-up focused on breathing, posture, pitch, and vocal coordination. We then work on the student's selected song, focusing on vocal technique, rhythm, pronunciation, musical expression, and interpretation. Depending on the student's level and interests, we may also include acting exercises, movement, or stage-performance practice. Each lesson ends with a short performance or review so the student can recognize their progress and leave the lesson feeling accomplished.

# What Sets Me Apart

What sets me apart is my combination of vocal performance, musical theater, acting, and stage experience. I enjoy working with children and creating a positive, encouraging learning environment where they can learn without feeling pressured. My goal is not simply to teach students how to sing a song, but to help them become more confident performers who enjoy making music.

My lessons are primarily designed for children and beginners, as well as students who are interested in singing, pop music, musical theater, and stage performance. I welcome students with different experience levels and adapt lessons to their individual age, abilities, interests, and learning goals.
