About Cara
I have more than 6 years of experience teaching ESL to college students, and I am passionate about helping learners achieve measurable progress in English. My teaching style is organised, motivating, and focused on practical application. I work on academic writing, grammar correction, vocabulary usage, speaking fluency, and listening comprehension. I guide students in preparing research papers, presentations, and group discussions with clarity and confidence.
My lessons are interactive and engaging, incorporating role-plays, writing workshops, collaborative activities, and real-life communication practice. I also use digital platforms and multimedia tools to enhance understanding and keep lessons interesting. My ESL teaching approach is interactive, motivating, and student-centred. I use real-life examples and case studies to make lessons meaningful and connected to daily life and professional needs. Students practise through discussions, role plays, listening tasks, and writing activities. Motivation plays an important role in my classroom.
I support students in building confidence and celebrate their progress regularly. When learning challenges arise, I apply problem-solving techniques by simplifying grammar rules and providing practical examples. I give additional exercises to strengthen weak areas and improve fluency. Integrity is one of my core values, and I maintain professionalism, punctuality, and honesty in every session.
Flexibility helps me customise lessons according to different learning styles and goals. In addition to ESL, I teach vocabulary development, professional communication, grammar correction, and writing improvement.
