About Zoe
I’ve been teaching guitar for over 5 years, with a Bachelor of Science in Audio Engineering and a focus on Guitar. Improvisation is my passion, especially in jazz and blues, where every note becomes a conversation. I help students explore modal scales, arpeggios, dominant seventh theory, and bebop phrasing while discovering their own musical voice.
My teaching is supportive, engaging, and goal-oriented, designed to inspire confidence and creativity. I work with school students, hobbyists, and professionals, tailoring lessons to each learner’s needs. From intermediate players to those preparing for professional gigs, I provide guidance that builds both skill and expression.
Improvisation is a journey, not just a technique, and I aim to make that journey exciting and rewarding. Together, we explore musical ideas, unlock creativity, and refine phrasing that feels uniquely yours. If you’re ready to expand your improvisational skills and express yourself freely on the guitar, I’d love to help you start.

My teaching method is structured to help guitarists become confident music readers. I cover standard notation, tablature, sight-reading exercises, and rhythm notation. Lessons are systematic, building step by step so students can read any piece of music.
I guide “The Classical Purist” and “The Jazz Explorer” alike, helping them connect written notes to the sounds they play. We focus on note recognition, rhythm accuracy, and reading in context. Exercises gradually increase in difficulty to ensure steady progress.
Students learn to read melodies, chords, and rhythms with clarity. Sight-reading practice is integrated into every lesson to build fluency and speed. I also emphasize musical expression while reading, not just accuracy.
The goal is to make reading music feel natural and enjoyable. By combining structured exercises and practical application, students unlock the full world of written music.
