About Yasmeen
I’m a freshman at Harvard studying computer science and government. I’m incredibly passionate about mathematics and helping others. For example, I am a robotics coach and STEM facilitator at the Connecticut STEM Academy, where I have led 4 teams to world championships. I spend my summers working with children at the academy where I teach them various topics, whether that’s astronomy or coding. In high school, I took five college level math classes and I’m excited to use my advanced skills to help others!

My approach is tailored to each student's needs, and I have extensive experience teaching students. My lessons begin with a warmup problem to refresh students on what they last learned. From here, I dive into an engaging, interactive lesson plan. Before moving on from any concept, I ask students questions to ensure they are understanding. the material. After covering any topic, I begin a worksheet with the student. We will do the first few problems together, and gradually, I will let students do the problems on their own, ultimately allowing them to succeed in their subject.
