About Emily
Every student has different needs, a different personality and different goals. I am someone who takes the time to know the student so we can work towards your own personal goals. Coaching and learning isn't a "one size fits all" sort of thing. I want to work with you so you can accomplish and possibly even go beyond what you had set out to do!

I have years of experience teaching children and adults swim lessons and water polo lessons. I have run classes for 6 month old babies and their parents to private lessons for those who are over 80 years old!
I was a nationally ranked water polo player throughout high school on a team that was highly competitive and also was a competitive swimmer who both qualified and competed at higher levels of competition.
I get results. I use a "tough love" approach to my lessons. I take the time to learn the personality of each student I teach and adapt lessons so I can push them to achieve their goals while still keeping in mind their own limitations. I allow the student to express their concerns or frustrations and work with them to see how we can get from point A to point B.
I am CPR/First Aid certified and lifeguarded for 4 years. I also work as an EMT in the 911 system, so any student (no matter the age) will be in good hands. I take regular safety and water safety extremely seriously and also educate the students on such topics as they learn to swim/play water polo.
